Therapy sessions are normally scheduled at the same time on a regular basis. As that time will be reserved for you, please note that you will be charged the full session fee for missed or cancelled appointments unless you provide a minimum of 24 hours notice (even if you did not receive a text message reminder). This enables us to offer the appointment to other clients who are waiting for appointments that week. Insurers, including Medicare, do not provide a rebate on missed appointments. Under exceptional circumstances, such as sudden illness, you may be unable to provide 24 hours notice, as such the fee may be reduced or waived at the psychologist’s discretion. If you feel good enough but are contagious it is best if you do not attend in person and we change to an online/video appointment. Or if another session time is available during the same week, you may be able to reschedule your appointment if you call or email a few hours before the session time, and may then avoid the cancellation fee.
